BASERACK CABRACK MOUNT 

 

Key considerations for ARB's engineers when developing vehicle specific mount kits
were ease of fitment \/ removal and to keep the BASE Rack as close as practical to the vehicle
roof.
Fitment of the BASE Rack system to the vehicle is done in a series of steps.
1. OE roof channel trims removed from vehicle roof
2. Captive nuts in roof located and mount holes exposed.
3. Roof trim pieces cut to suit.
4. BASE Rack mount brackets attached to OE captive nuts in roof with M8 fasteners
5. BASE Rack blade brackets are attached to underside of BASE Rack assembly with BASE Rack stud
plates, M8 studs, washers and nyloc nuts. Optional deflector fitted if LED light bar not being fitted
beneath BASE Rack.
6. BASE Rack with blade brackets fitted to vehicle roof and fastened to previously installed mount
brackets with M8 button head Torx screws and washers.
To maintain minimal added height to the vehicle the BASE Rack Cab mount height has been designed as a
stand alone fitment and as such is lower than cross bars (if fitted to the canopy). When not required the
BASE Rack and blade brackets can be easily removed, leaving the mount brackets fixed to the vehicle roof.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE LISTED USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Maximum load per BASE Rack beam is 25kg
• Load must be evenly distributed and adequately secured
• Any weight carried on the roof of the vehicle will adversely affect its handling, particularly in cornering
or in a cross wind, the vehicle should therefore be driven with increased discretion
• Regularly check the tightness of the securing clamps and the security of the load
• Attention is directed to statutory requirements regarding maximum permissible
projections from vehicles
